Hotel De La Paix - Lugano

Glamorous accommodation with magnificent setting right by the centre of Lugano, the funicular/a hike up San Sebastan and the lake and the Paradiso boat port. Very courteous staff throughout. Overall family atmosphere. Exceptionally comfortable bed in family room with a balcony and a minibar. Wonderful experience, ideal place for one night...

Bathroom of the room is quite nice, room itself is OK size wise and the view is fantastic.

The double bed is very small, blankets are still being used in this hotel, no coffee.tea makingf facilities on the room which you would expect from a 4* hotel. No clock anywhere on the room.

Breakfast was good and quite varied. Room was clean and appeared recently renovated. Position is great, very close to Lugano city center and yet easy to reach if you come there by car

Staff quite rude and unkind, especially at the bar, with few exceptions. Air Conditioning system impossible to set at the right temperature. In general, not really what one would expect from a four-stars hotel.

The location is very convenient for me to attend our Board Meetings.

Wi-Fi connectivity could really use a boost!!! Noise from the main road made relaxation difficult, while the limited parking availability during peak times created additional stress. A fitness center would likely enhance the overall experience!!!

Location and elegance

The room was very hot.The thermostat did not work,because the a/c was turned off.The window could not kept be open because the traffic noise was deaffening.

Generous room size, good location and view of lake, staff attentive and gave good service.

Poor selection of English tv channels, double bed could be more comfortable, clean but general decor starting to look tired. Would benefit from a childrens play area for young families.

perfect spot for city walks and park views

I really enjoyed my two nights at this hotel because it was super close to the city center and I loved the fine views of Lake Lugano. The friendly staff gave me a free transportation ticket which was a nice bonus during my explorations.

The rooms were small for the price. The hotel restaurant was incredibly expensive.

Again we enjoyed our stop in Lugano. Hotel is very well equiped to receive travellers by car. Good (free) parking, well located at walking distance to the centre and the lake. Excellent room and good breakfast.

The price of the hotel rather (too) high and this year also no possibility for a discount rate. No free WIFI internet. Today internet access is a basic service and should be included in the room rate.

I appreciated the thoughtful welcome gift in our room that made us feel valued as guests.

We loved the room size, which seemed like two separate sections, and our balcony had a lovely view. Exploring the lake area was fantastic, and we enjoyed a boat tour with the kids. The staff were friendly.

My children wanted more variety in breakfast options, especially for those who prefer plant-based foods.
